These Terms & Conditions set out the rules for using the UPVC Window & Door Repairs website and the main terms that apply when you request a quote or book our repair services for double glazing, UPVC windows and doors.

By using this website or placing a booking with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

UPVC Window & Door Repairs is a local double glazing repair specialist serving Dewsbury and surrounding areas. You can contact us by phone on +44 7540 960965 or by email at upvcwindowdoorrepairs@gmail.com.

These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data. For information about our services and example projects, please see the Home page, and to make a new enquiry please use our Contact page.
You may use this website to learn about our services, request a quote and contact us. You must not misuse the website or attempt to interfere with its proper operation.

In particular, you agree that you will not:
  • Use the site in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or that could damage our reputation;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server on which it is stored, or any connected systems;
  • Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code;
  • Copy, reproduce or redistribute any content from this site (including text, photos and logos) without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law;
  • Use any automated systems (such as bots or scrapers) to access the site without our consent.
We take reasonable steps to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that any content is complete, error-free or suitable for your particular situation. Website information is provided for general guidance only and does not replace a professional inspection of your windows and doors.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors or interruptions, and we may suspend, withdraw or change all or any part of the site without notice.
We usually provide quotes free of charge and without obligation. Quotes may be based on information you give us, such as photos, videos and descriptions, or on an in-person survey of the property.

All quotes are given in good faith based on the information available at the time. If, when we attend, the work required is different from what was described or reasonably visible, we will explain this and provide an updated price before proceeding.

Unless stated otherwise, prices quoted:
  • Are in pounds sterling (GBP);
  • Include labour and standard materials needed to complete the agreed repair; and
  • Are valid for a reasonable period, which we will confirm when we quote.
Any additional work, parts or changes that are not included in the original quote will only be carried out with your agreement. We will clearly confirm any updated price before starting that extra work.
We will agree an appointment date and an estimated arrival time window with you. We aim to arrive on time, but appointment times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, emergencies or previous jobs overrunning. If we are running significantly late, we will do our best to let you know and rearrange if needed.

You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property and to the windows, doors or other items to be repaired. This includes:
  • Making sure an adult (18 or over) is present to give access for the duration of the visit;
  • Ensuring that the work area is clear enough for us to carry out the repair safely;
  • Letting us know in advance about any access restrictions, parking limitations, permit requirements or special safety considerations.
Where parking charges apply, we may add reasonable parking costs to the final invoice, which we will explain to you.

If we attend at the agreed time but cannot gain access, or the work cannot be carried out safely because of something within your control, we may need to charge a reasonable call-out fee to cover our time and costs. We will keep such charges fair and proportionate.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the agreed work at your property.

We will confirm the payment methods we can accept at the time of booking or visit (for example, bank transfer, card or cash). Full payment details will be shown on your invoice or confirmation message.

For some jobs – particularly where special-order items such as custom-sized double glazed units, glass or hardware are required – we may ask for a deposit before ordering parts. We will clearly explain when a deposit is required, the amount, and whether it is refundable if you later cancel.

If payment is not received when due, we may suspend further work and, if necessary, take reasonable steps to recover the outstanding amount, which may include adding fair late-payment costs or interest in line with applicable law.
We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible using the details on our Contact page.

We politely request at least 24 hours’ notice where possible. This helps us to offer the appointment slot to another customer.

We will not usually charge for a single short-notice cancellation, but we reserve the right to apply a reasonable charge if:
  • You repeatedly cancel or change appointments at short notice; or
  • We attend at the agreed time and cannot gain access, or the work cannot be carried out safely because of something within your control.
Any such charge will be fair, proportionate and explained to you in advance wherever practicable.
We take pride in our workmanship and aim to carry out repairs to a high professional standard.

Where stated at the time of booking or on your invoice, we may provide a workmanship guarantee for a specified period for the repair we have completed. Any manufacturer warranties on parts or glass units will apply in addition to, and subject to, the terms set by the manufacturer or supplier.

Our guarantees do not cover:
  • Normal wear and tear or lack of reasonable maintenance;
  • Damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, attempted repairs by others, or events outside our control (such as storms or impact damage);
  • Existing faults or issues in other parts of your windows, doors, frames, walls or structure that are not part of the agreed repair;
  • Consequential loss, such as loss of earnings, loss of rent or similar, except where you have legal rights that cannot be limited.
Your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law are not affected by any guarantee we provide.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter where it would be unlawful to limit or exclude liability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for:
  • Any loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable when you booked the work or used this website;
  • Any business losses, such as loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity, where you are a consumer customer;
  • Any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with a particular job will be limited, where lawful, to the amount you have paid or are due to pay us for that job, except where your statutory rights provide otherwise.

We will not be responsible for delays or failure to carry out work caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, accidents, illness or transport disruption, but we will always try to rearrange as soon as reasonably possible.
We value feedback and want you to be happy with the service you receive.

If you have a concern during or after a job, please raise it with us as soon as possible so we have the opportunity to put things right. You can contact us using the details on our Contact page, giving your name, contact details, property address and a brief description of the issue.

We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate what has happened and aim to respond with an explanation and, where appropriate, a proposal to resolve the matter. Any remedies we offer will be consistent with your rights under UK consumer law.
These Terms & Conditions, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a resident consumer in another part of the UK and your local laws give you additional protections.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how we provide our services. The latest version will always be published on this page and will apply from the date it is posted.
